Tourist information - Brisbane
Brisbane is a city in eastern Australia and capital
of the state of Queensland. The third largest city in Australia
it is a seaport on the Brisbane River, near Moreton Bay. This cosmopolitan
city hosts a good street cafe scene, a great riverside park, a busy
cultural calendar and decent nightlife. Brisbane has broad streets,
numerous parks, and many modern buildings and a near-perfect climate
year-round. To walk around the old city follow the golden arrows
set into the footpath and see Brisbane's remaining early buildings.
Buildings of interest include Parliament House, the town hall, Brisbane
Museum, and the buildings of the University of Queensland opened
in 1910.
