Poland is officially the Republic of Poland (Polish Rzeczpospolita
Polska), a country in Central Europe and bordered on the north by
the Baltic Sea and Russia, on the east by Lithuania, Belarus, and
Ukraine, on the south by the Czech Republic and Slovakia and on
the west by Germany. Its capital and largest city is Warsaw.
Other major cities are Lódz, Kraków
(Cracow), Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk, Szczecin, Bydgoszcz, Katowice
and Lublin.

SPECIAL NOTES
Drive on the right, overtake on the left.
Dipped headlights are compulsory 1st Oct to 28th Feb.
Do not use the horn in built-up areas except for emergencies.

SPEED LIMITS
Cars only
Residential areas = 20 kph
Built-up areas = 60 kph
Freeway = 130 kph
Divided Highway = 110 kph
Undivided Highway = 100 kph
Other roads = 90 kph
MOTORWAYS
There is a minimum speed limit of 40 kph on motorways.
There are no motorway tolls.
SEAT BELTS
Front seat = Compulsory
Rear seat = Compulsory if fitted
Children Under 10 years not allowed in front unless in an approved
seat or harness.
DRIVING LICENCE
Minimum Driving age - 17 years
All EC licence's are acceptable. International driving permit required
unless you have photo card licence or non EC licence.
FINES
Motoring offences can have an on-the-spot fine.
A receipt will be issued for fines.
Using a mobile cellular telephone without a hands free kit while
driving is prohibited.
DRINKING and DRIVING
Severe restrictions apply. Blood / Alcohol limit 0.02%.

PARKING
If parked in an unlit street at night you should display parking
lights.

Unleaded Super 91 Benzyna bezolowiowa
Diesel is available
LPG is available but mostly on motorway service stations
Petrol stations on motorways and larger towns are
open 24 hours. Petrol stations on minor roads usually close in the
evening.
WARNING: There are many horse-drawn wagons on the roads in
harvest periods. Usually unlit, these horse-drawn wagons are a serious
hazard.
